School dropout is a widespread phenomenon at the global level. In Italy, data reveal worrying trends, particularly in upper secondary education, a concern for institutions due to its profound consequences for the future of young people and the development of society. This paper aims to analyse studies published on the topic in Italian scientific journals in the field of pedagogy, to understand how the phenomenon has been addressed by educational research and what solutions have been suggested. To achieve this goal, a systematic review of the Italian scientific literature was conducted. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria and analysing the works, 27 articles were selected, 13 of which present various educational proposals for preventing school dropout. The results suggest that, given the complexity of the issue and the specificity of the contexts, further investigation through experimental research methods is still needed in our country.

Abstract
The results suggest that, given the complexity of the issue and the specificity of the contexts, further investigation through experimental research methods is still needed in our country.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
