The bath-complex of “via Terracina” (Naples) was excavated by A. Maiuri in 1939-40, during the works for the construction of the “Mostra triennale delle Terre Italiane d’Oltremare”. The complex was bounded on the south side by the via Puteolis-Neapolim and on the west by a minor road; on the other sides the excavation was never finish and the ancient structures still lie under the modern buildings. Currently, a large bath-complex, built at the beginning of the 2nd century A.D., and on the eastern side, a group of rooms with commercial and residential functions, built at the end of the 2nd to the early 3rd century A.D, are visible. While previous studies concerned especially the bath-complex, in the last few years a new project has begun focused on the analysis of all the archaeological remains. In this paper we offer the first results of this new investigation.
