The essay briefly outlines the history of the studies of folk traditions about Molise and the rise of a new regional identity, also and just through this kind of studies. Another tentative adds to this, a tentative of balance on the recent choices in matter of valorisation of the immaterial patrimony of the region as critical analysis of the cultural politics and of the territory that have been ac- tivated also through these interventions.
Il contributo si concentra sulla storia degli studi di tradizioni popolari relativi al Molise e alla nascita di una nuova identità regionale, anche e proprio attraverso il contributo di questo ambito di studi. Cerca inoltre di fare un bilancio delle recenti scelte in materia di valorizzazione del patrimonio immateriale in questa specifica regione attraverso un'analisi critica delle politiche culturali e di promozione territoriale attivate attraverso questo tipo di interventi istituzionali.
