An investigation on the element content in air samples sampled in downtown Rome has repor- ted. The levels, the behavior and the possible sources of toxicological and/or geochemically in- teresting elements have been analyzed. The results obtained could be considered as reference values for Rome city both for the sampling significativity and high accuracy and precision gra- de associated with the determinations. The analytical technique involved in this study is the In- strumental Nuclear Activation Analysis.
