This essay intends to propose a critical reflection on a possible new path of research on the role of Gustavo Giovannoni in the history of the Birra Peroni plant, by means an account of the principal studies devoted to this subject, from the first researches at the end of the Seventies of the last Century, which have influenced the restoration of a part of the industrial complex, till to the latest analysis of urban history on the site, without leaving out the contribution of the economic history to the specific topic of study.
