The extensive use of high-performance concrete (HPC), even in flexural members, requires knowledge of the ductility performances of beams made from this material. Considering that the codes of practice are based mainly on results obtained by using concrete of low and medium strength, it is necessary to check their applicability to HPC. To that end, comparative analyses, both experimental and theoretical, of behavior of beams made in normal performance concrete (NPC) and HPC are needed. This paper summarizes the results of an experimental investigation studying available rotation capacity of reinforced concrete (RC) beams.

Abstract
The extensive use of high-performance concrete (HPC), even in flexural members, requires knowledge of the ductility performances of beams made from this material. Considering that the codes of practice are based mainly on results obtained by using concrete of low and medium strength, it is necessary to check their applicability to HPC. To that end, comparative analyses, both experimental and theoretical, of behavior of beams made in normal performance concrete (NPC) and HPC are needed. This paper summarizes the results of an experimental investigation studying available rotation capacity of reinforced concrete (RC) beams.File in questo prodotto:
