The main goal of this empirical study is to increase our knowledge about the way children understand their right in everyday situations, as well as situation in other context where education and the promotion of human rights are possible starting from childhood (with children as active participants). The paper investigate especially the context of the family and the school, and consider the construction of a new model citizen group, aware of its right. A further goal it to look at the perception of the teachers and parents of the interviewed children about children's right. The Spanish and Italian regions compared in this research were chosen as we considered them to very similar from a socio-demographic point of view. The group of citizen selected in each region (boys/girls, parents and teacher) have quite similar socio-demographic characteristics.
