The article deals with the issue of gender pay gap through an interdisciplinary analysis of the concept of work of equal value. Comparing legal and economic perspectives allows us to go beyond the notions of anti-discrimination law, in order to grasp the complexity of the issue and assess not only wage inequality but also earning inequality.
