the article aims to show that philosophical practice, in the version elaborated by its founder Gerd B. Achenbach, can contribute to the now urgent rethinking of the dominant notion of philosophy, a philosophy that indeed has been sometimes diagnosed with «death». This task falls to philosophers, implying a rethinking of their positioning within their context, by addressing the question of what «doing philosophy» means today, why and for whom. My main point is that at this aim the refusal is necessary to reduce philosophy to that single and still dominant definition of Western modern origin, so that its inexhaustible vitality may be recognized. However, this also presupposes the philosophers’ resolution to practice it in and with their own life.

Abstract
the article aims to show that philosophical practice, in the version elaborated by its founder Gerd B. However, this also presupposes the philosophers’ resolution to practice it in and with their own life.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
