Articolazione sociale e gruppi di potere a Cosenza tra tarda età sveva e prima età angioina

The contribution attempts to reconstruct the conditions and factors that determined the articulation of society in the city of Cosenza during the second half of the 13th century, starting with Frederick II's interventions to stimulate the rebirth of this city after the dramatic earthquake of 1184. Particular attention is given to the role played by the power group historically connected to the interests of the monarchy in the difficult years preceding the establishment of the Angevin kingdom.

Partendo dagli interventi voluti da Federico II per stimolare la rinascita di Cosenza dopo il drammatico terremoto del 1184, il saggio tenta di ricostruire le condizioni e i fattori che determinarono l’articolazione della società cosentina nella seconda metà del XIII sec. Particolare attenzione viene posta al ruolo svolto dal gruppo di potere storicamente legato agli interessi della monarchia durante i difficili anni che precedettero l’affermazione del potere angioino sul trono di Napoli.
