This article is devoted to the idea of the civitas humana which Röpke contrasts with the civitas maxima - the constructivist claim to give life to a world government which homogenises the whole of humanity under a single political formula which, in its turn, will determine a collectivist direction of the economic processes under the hat of a conformist culture in whose name dissent involves expulsion from the civil forum. By contrast with the civitas maxima, the civitas humana is decidedly more structured, we could describe it as plurarchic: in it Röpke causes the interaction of all the historico-existential spheres in which the concrete life of people is carried out and none of which can claim to boast its supremacy over the others, recurring to an antiperfectist approach which does not confuse the civitas Dei with the civitas hominum.

Abstract
This article is devoted to the idea of the civitas humana which Röpke contrasts with the civitas maxima - the constructivist claim to give life to a world government which homogenises the whole of humanity under a single political formula which, in its turn, will determine a collectivist direction of the economic processes under the hat of a conformist culture in whose name dissent involves expulsion from the civil forum. By contrast with the civitas maxima, the civitas humana is decidedly more structured, we could describe it as plurarchic: in it Röpke causes the interaction of all the historico-existential spheres in which the concrete life of people is carried out and none of which can claim to boast its supremacy over the others, recurring to an antiperfectist approach which does not confuse the civitas Dei with the civitas hominum.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
