The article explores the theme of new contractual relationships formed in the sharing economy. Countless are open questions that have considerable repercussions in many fields, such as assessing the existence of unfair competition, consumer protection and the protection of the platforms’ employees, as recently addressed by the United Kingdom Supreme Court, with its ruling of 19 February 2021. There is no shortage of first observations on the recent introduction of the decreto legislativo 4 November 2021 no 173, adopted in Italy to transpose Directive (EU) 2019/770.
