The present work aims to analyze the life experiences of university students, based on the data obtained in a national scale research that began in March 2021 and targeted the students of all Italian universities, through the spread (in collaboration with the cnsu) of an online survey. The research questions that will be addressed are: What was the impact of the familiar cultural capital in the study choices made by university students? If and how has changed the concept of knowledge attributed to the university as institution, in the students’ opinion? The analysis combines quantitative data regarding the students’ academic experience and familiar cultural capital with qualitative data emerging from the value attributed to the university by the students. In this way we analyze the change and the persistence of the image that young people have about the expert knowledge diffused by the university. We also discuss how this (more or less) new image triggers unexpected questions regarding the topic of the right to study.

Abstract
We also discuss how this (more or less) new image triggers unexpected questions regarding the topic of the right to study.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
