This paper presents the international scientific project “Excavating in Bethany: archaeology at the service of youth vocational training” (2016-2018), which has so far involved the University of Molise, the Pro Terra Sancta society in support of the Custody of the Holy Land, Jericho’s Mosaic Center and Al Quds University. The focus of the project includes vocational training programs addressed to archaeology students at Al Quds University, who are involved in the excavation in Bethany, started in 2014 under the direction of Ibrahim Abu A’mar. The site has remarkable potentialities for cultural and tourist development, thanks to its important historical-archaeological evidence.

Abstract
