Creativity has become one of the most discussed topics of scientific re- search during the last decades, especially in the Western world. This article aims to identify the reasons for this contemporary interest within a multidisciplinary analytical framework, which is necessary in order to re- veal the numerous contexts in which creativity is mentioned or requested nowadays. The nexus thus created (within an essentially socio-psychological tradition) between creativity and symbolic dynamics allows us to identify an interpretation that develops this possibility in a more integrated manner, that can be used in regard to both individual aspirations and so- cirelational dynamics.
