Abstract
Pragmatic literacy and writing practices in Italy have been deeply investigated by Italian and non-Italian scholars for the XII-XIII centuries: this volume offers instead, and for the first time, a wide range of essays devoted to this theme in the late middle ages. In the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, the Italian peninsula provides a wide variety of political entities, and an even wider range of institutional and constitutional experiments: in this framework, the development of a sophisticated system of public records preserves the written memory in some sort of new political ordre du discours.File in questo prodotto:
