This contribution centres on Pier Luigi Nervi's 1934 project for “Una Casa Girevole” (A Rotating House). Internationally, he is ranks among the greatest creators of structural architecture in the 1900s and his works result from an exceptional combination of art and the science of construction. “La casa girevole” is a building never built that belongs to the ranks of its lesser-known architectures it presents original solutions for the shape, structure, distribution, and mechanical/electrical systems that were taken up and refined over time, especially in some of his creations in Rome.
