Based on primary papers, namely the private papers of Nunciature's Secretary mgr. Verolino who, together with apostolic Nuncio Mgr. Rotta engaged in an important work of pro-Jews rescuing and involved in a long and difficult relationship with the new Communist regime, soon after the Axis' fall. Both Verolino and Rotta were awarded by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations.
