Using the analysis of structural and textual variants of some witnesses, published and unpublished, the paper aims to determine and describe the elements that are useful to the reconstruction of the Romance manuscript transmission of the Giordano Ruffo’s “De medicina equorum”, farriery completed between the 1250 and the 1256. Besides it informs on the considerable manuscript fortune (not only Romance) of the work, giving numerical data too, and it describes some lexical elements that characterize the Romance tradition.
L’intervento mira a individuare e a descrivere gli elementi utili alla ricostruzione della trasmissione manoscritta romanza del “De medicina equorum” di Giordano Ruffo, trattato di mascalcia portato a compimento fra il 1250 e il 1256, utilizzando l’analisi di varianti strutturali e testuali di alcuni testimoni, editi ed inediti. Si forniscono inoltre riscontri, anche numerici, sulla rilevante fortuna manoscritta (non solo romanza) dell’opera e ci si sofferma su alcuni elementi lessicali caratterizzanti la tradizione romanza.
