Un framework per l'accesso integrato alle risorse di un destination management system

The need of specific information related to the different dimensions of the territory lead us to use different technology with the aim of supporting the promotion of local resources for a sustainable and integrated offer. The quality, quantity and organization of information contained in a Destination Management System (DMS) engrave on the information flows where the diffusion methods are the key elements for a complete management of supply and demand of the territorial system. In this perspective, the access method to the information becomes a highly discriminating factor when we develop an application that have to support the users. In fact, wishes, availability and needs of users in a DMS play a crucial role in the design of a Web Information System (WIS), which technologies represent the natural environment to integrate information and show them in aggregate form. The proposed framework wants to answer to the need of identify the best ways and methods to develop a DMS that can provide an integrated access to resources. In particular, the system implemented on the basis of the framework presented ensures the availability of features used to: display the resources of the area related to a topic and making a custom itinerary; create automatically route about the topic chosen by the user according to relevance, time availability of users and the geographical distance of resources; allow the user to choose the best route that can satisfy him; display and evaluate the most interesting routes created by other users.

L’esigenza di informazioni sempre più puntuali connesse alle differenti dimensioni del territorio spinge ad utilizzare in maniera estensiva tecnologie diversificate con lo scopo di sostenere la valorizzazione delle risorse locali e la nascita di una offerta integrata e sostenibile. La qualità, la quantità e l’organizzazione delle informazioni presenti in un Destination Management System (DMS) incidono sulla formazione del flusso informativo le cui modalità di diffusione rappresentano elementi fondamentali per una gestione completa della domanda e dell’offerta del sistema territoriale. In quest’ottica, nella costruzione di una applicazione di supporto agli utenti, la modalità di accesso all’informazione diviene fattore altamente discriminante. Infatti, i desideri, le disponibilità ed i bisogni degli utenti di un DMS assumono un ruolo fondamentale nella progettazione di un Web Information System (WIS) le cui tecnologie rappresentano l’ambiente naturale in cui integrare le informazioni e restituirle in forma aggregata. Il framework proposto intende rispondere all’esigenza di individuare gli strumenti ed i metodi più idonei per la realizzazione di un DMS in grado di assicurare modalità di accesso integrate alle risorse. In particolare, il sistema implementato sulla base del framework presentato garantisce la disponibilità di funzionalità in grado di: visualizzare le risorse del territorio relative ad un tematica a scelta, con possibilità di creazione personalizzata di un itinerario; creare in modo automatico l’itinerario inerente il tema scelto dall’utente in base alla rilevanza, al tempo a disposizione ed alla distanza geografica delle risorse; consentire all’utente di scegliere il percorso che maggiormente lo soddisfa; visualizzare e valutare i percorsi più interessanti creati da altri utenti.
