Abstract

This paper is part of a more extended research project on the ancient latin town of Praeneste as a paradigmatical pattern to testify social, economic and cultural relashionships between Italy, the area of Aegean basin and Asia minor. In this occasion, the authors choose to show the results of the study on inscribed bricks stamps : they show the names of a lot of praenestinian gentes, involved on economical affairs. This contribution put on light the value of the ‘épigraphie mineure’ as an useful investigation’s instrument of the society and the economy of late Republican Praeneste (such as of other ancient realities).
