The fundamental precondition for the acceptance and success of online transactions is in the trust and usability of the systems used. The usability and trust in online transactions are related to safety, real and perceived by the users. Consequently, the success of e-commerce, e-government or e-health is directly ependent on the relationship between the actual safety and perceived by the users. In this paper is presented the results of the analysis of that bond and of the relationship between security, trust and usability. Based on the above tests have been some measures to improve the acceptance and, consequently, the success of online transactions. A qualitative research approach was adopted, since the research seeks an understanding of human (i.e., customer and organizational employee) perceptions.
