Kepler investigates the tessellations of the plane and space in “Harmonices Mundi” by following a highly intuitive and linear research methodology. On the occasion of training courses for teachers, enhancement projects for students as well as courses in Mathematics Didactics, we have presented the topic of tessellations following Kepler’s studies on the basis of a vertical path which may involve students from primary school. Such a methodology gives the possibility to range over other closely related topics as well as to present some mathematical concepts also as the point of arrival of a historical evolution which has lasted for centuries. We are going to present such an idea in accordance with the planned activities and some reflections on the activities already implemented.
