In the second half of the twentieth century an interesting architectural complex was partially uncovered at Casalpiano, near Morrone del Sannio (CB). The oldest structures have been attributed to a rustic villa dating back to the end of the 2nd and the beginning of the 1st century BC. In this work we want to take into account two inscribed pavements, one of which is unpublished. Therefore, a new reading of the mosaic inscription is proposed, which allows a new chronological framing of the floor and the structures.

Abstract
In the second half of the twentieth century an interesting architectural complex was partially uncovered at Casalpiano, near Morrone del Sannio (CB). The oldest structures have been attributed to a rustic villa dating back to the end of the 2nd and the beginning of the 1st century BC. In this work we want to take into account two inscribed pavements, one of which is unpublished. Therefore, a new reading of the mosaic inscription is proposed, which allows a new chronological framing of the floor and the structures.File in questo prodotto:
