Abstract

One of the areas around which an unusual narrative of the sources constituting the historical educational heritage has been less exercised and developed is that linked to the material production introduced to support the pedagogy of the prize in the school context. The awarding of prize medals, together with that of diplomas, certificates and books, progressively became, signs or badges destined to qualify, through rites and celebrations, the significant moments of school life and one of the most widespread objects used in the exercise of school life to stimulate the achievement of scholastic success and adherence to the values and behaviour advocated by the ruling groups

Uno de los ámbitos en torno a los cuales menos se ha ejercitado y desarrollado una narrativa inédita de las fuentes constitutivas del patrimonio histórico educativo es el vinculado a la producción material introducida para apoyar la pedagogía del premio en el ámbito escolar. La concesión de medallas de premio, junto con la de diplomas, certificados y libros, se convirtió progresivamente, en signos o insignias destinados a calificar, a través de ritos y celebraciones, los momentos significativos de la vida escolar y en uno de los objetos más utilizados en el ejercicio de la vida escolar para estimular la consecución del éxito escolar y la adhesión a los valores y comportamientos propugnados por los grupos de gobierno.
