Between tourist colonisation and mobile living: embryonic systems of territorial regeneration in the Apennine mountains. With reference both to the first alternative tourism initiatives in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, which in some cases have become exemplary models, and to the emergence of new interesting realities along the entire centralsouthern Apennine chain, the article proposes a reflection on a series of open questions. How do we move from the demand for experience by individual travellers to an experience economy, i.e. to the supply of re-generative experiences at the local level? How can the experience economy have sustainable impacts and contribute to territorial regeneration? What kind of tourism can lead to the configuration of “area products” that respect territorial specificities, generate social cohesion and disintermediated relations that enhance both the protagonism of local operators and the active role of inhabitants and temporary guests? Questions that reflect the still uncertain capacities of the current reshaping processes to create the premises for a new tourism image of the Italian Apennines.

Abstract
Questions that reflect the still uncertain capacities of the current reshaping processes to create the premises for a new tourism image of the Italian Apennines.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
