Among the exotic species, eucalyptus trees are the ones that have spread the most beyond their native area and to such an extent that their utilization is often synonymous with arboriculture for wood production. This paper discusses some eucalyptus plantations that were created along the Ionic Coast of Calabria in the province of Crotone primarily for purposes of ground conservation and protection. The analyses of these forests, some of which are in the second agamic cycle, confirm the validity of coppicing as the recommended form of management of the eucalyptus, a species characterized by great capacity for agamic regeneration.

Abstract
Among the exotic species, eucalyptus trees are the ones that have spread the most beyond their native area and to such an extent that their utilization is often synonymous with arboriculture for wood production. This paper discusses some eucalyptus plantations that were created along the Ionic Coast of Calabria in the province of Crotone primarily for purposes of ground conservation and protection. The analyses of these forests, some of which are in the second agamic cycle, confirm the validity of coppicing as the recommended form of management of the eucalyptus, a species characterized by great capacity for agamic regeneration.File in questo prodotto:
