In this paper, we present an analysis of plane-strain associative dilatant plasticity in presence of displacement discontinuities. The obtained results are amenable to straightforward particularization to any dilatant model and a Drucker- Prager yield criterion is considered as a model example. We formulate an enhanced finite element method incorporating the (unregularized) discontinuous fields. Numerical results of a plane-strain localization analysis are discussed.
