The purpose of this contribution was to connect the notion of good government, an expression of the common good, with an idea of entrepreneurship which takes as its fundamental elements the civil virtues of creativity, community building and realism. The work is divided into two parts, which in turn are divided into paragraphs. The first part is dedicated to the political reading of the famous cycle of Lorenzetti. We have taken as a point of reference the political analysis of the US neo-institutionalists Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson, who, having dealt with the reasons why nations fail, have well thought of approaching the question of how nations can be free.
