This paper presents the innovative application of interface damage laws to the analysis of well integrity. For this problem we formulate a simple and quite general solution procedure, based on analytical integration in space and numerical integration in time. As a representative application example, we present an analysis of the effects of cement shrinkage on the integrity of well interfaces.
